What You Will Find at Defiance West

It is commonly stated that if you are changing what you eat, you should choose a diet that you can sustain for the rest of your life. If the diet you choose is not sustainable (ex: a juice cleanse), often you will go back to feeling and looking like you did before the diet started. To have lifelong results we are after a lifestyle change, not a quick fix diet. Exercise should be the same way. Find something that is sustainable for years to come. I find that it is important to find something fun and that produces the results you are looking for. If exercising is fun you will look forward to it, keep doing it and continue to push yourself to get better. There are countless ways that you can exercise, and you should pick the one that makes you want to keep doing it.

Everyone can do the type of training we have at our gyms. That does not mean our style of training is for everyone, but it does mean that we can modify and adjust our training for everyone. People that are successful at our gym have or are looking for the following:

  1. Direction: We carefully design our programs to meet the needs of all ability levels. Our programs are designed to be easily modified to meet the needs of each individual’s goals. We do the hard part for you, all you have to do is come in and put in the work.

  2. Variety: Our workouts are constantly varied. You will be working on new skills and perfecting old skills continuously. Our workouts don’t get boring because they are always changing and you never know what is going to come up next.

  3. Motivation: Our coaches not only coach to make sure you are moving correctly, but we will help encourage you to do your best and push yourself beyond what you ever thought possible. You will also be surrounded by a group of individuals that are going through the same things you are and will help keep you motivated. Surrounding yourself with people that are motivated, driven, and hardworking will keep you on the track to success.

  4. Results: The results speak for themselves. Whether it is to lose weight, gain strength, put on mass, or increase athletic performance, all your fitness goals can be met. Not only do we see people’s health and fitness improve but also, we see changes in people mentally outside of the gym as well. As you become in better shape you feel better, look better, and have a huge increase in self-confidence.

In addition to these you will also find the following at our gyms:

  1. Community-You will be surrounded by a group of likeminded individuals. People that want to be feel better, eat better, get in better shape, or just overall want to be healthier.

  2. Accountability-When you sign up to come to our gym we want you to come and keep coming. Results happen when you work hard consistently, if we do not see you consistently we will reach out to you and get you motivated to get back in the gym.

  3. Excitement– Our workouts are fun, the people that come to our gym are fun, and many people look forward to their hour at the gym, as it is often the best part of their day.

  4. Efficiency-Most people do not have all day to workout. We get you in and out in an hour. This includes a warm-up, strength or skill session, conditioning, and mobility work most days.

  5. People just like you-We all imagine the fittest person we know and expect the gym to be full of these people. In reality these people make up less than 10% of the gym. Our gym is full of all ability levels. Not matter what level you are at you will be surrounded by people that are just like you and want to get better.

Our gyms are not designed to give someone a quick fix, and send them on their way in one month. We provide the arena for lifelong physical preparedness and strength. We want you to feel better, look better, move better, BE better everyday, for the rest of your life.
